Vichy Purete Thermale: Three Cleansing Solutions For Refreshed & Silky Smooth Skin

Cleansing is definitely having a moment in the beauty world. Who would have thought five years ago we would get as excited over a new cleansing balm as a lipstick, or have as many cleansing oils and micellar waters as we do fragrances? It's clear to see the benefit of a great cleansing routine when your complexion is brighter, clearer and smoother - makeup applies better, pimples are minimised and you glow from within. Vichy have long been a brand known for their expert skincare, but in 2015 they're upping their game and re-branding a lot of their best selling products in order to appeal to a younger demographic. This spring they're not only launching a new Cleansing Micellar Oil, but two firm favourites have been on the receiving end of a facelift; together they provide a trio of tools that ensure my complexion is as smooth and clear as a baby's bottom.

Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover (£11.00)
Good makeup removers are hard to come by, but this non-greasy and lightweight liquid makes taking off a days worth of slap a doddle. It melts away every last scrap of mascara, even the most stubborn of waterproof formulas, while cooling eyes and leaving an undetectable finish on skin. Importantly, it doesn't sting or irritate even my uber sensitive eyes - meaning it's a daily treat to ensure I don't awake with panda circles or marks on my pillow. It was straight into the 'love it' box after the first use.

One Step Cleanser (£11.50)
This best-selling one step cleanser combines the benefits of a cleansing milk, toner and eye makeup remover in one; enriched with Captelea, the milky texture eliminates impurities to leave skin feeling fresh and clear. I was really cynical when I first used this as I didn't think a 3-in-1 product would offer the effectiveness I demand from my cleansers, but it does lift absolutely everything from the surface of skin and beyond; my skin is left feeling incredibly soft and surprisingly clean. There's no stripping of the goodness too, meaning you won't feel like your flannel has removed any hydration you were working hard to cling on to.

Beautifying Cleansing Micellar Oil (£13.75)
This first ever cleansing oil from Vichy is enriched with Vitamin E and Camellia Oil for a luxurious and sensorial cleansing experience. It's been designed to remove impurities from the skin (including dead skin cells and excess sebum, which can cause discomfort and dullness) to leave a brighter, smoother and more refined texture. I adore cleansing oils so had high expectations for this; the formula is really lightweight and not at all greasy, meaning it's a great intro if you're not convinced about using an oil to cleanse your face. The combination of gentle micellar components also ensures it doesn't remove anything other than dirt, grease and bacteria, leaving your skin feeling healthy. I do feel like I need a little toner before bed after using this, but it's a great formula to use on a daily basis.
